On Wednesday last week Spirit in the Sky travelled back to Hamburg to prepare the our next restoration project for the journey from Hamburg to Enstone. This aircraft is around 70% complete and so great care was taken to ensure that the newly covered wings and fuselage were well secured to ensure that the risk of damage is kept to a minimum. All components have been covered in bubble wrap and boxed up. This aircraft will be only the second original example of the UEC to fly and so the weight on our shoulders to make sure nothing is damaged in transit is substantial. If anything were to get damaged we would really struggle to find original replacements. We hope the aircraft will be with us by the end of next week and will update once unloaded into the hangar.
